Description
Begin your premium VIP journey with a comfortable 13:30 pick-up from your hotel, right after lunch. Travel east along the scenic coastal road toward Mirbat in a very comfortable Land Cruiser, exclusively for a maximum of 3 guests. Your afternoon adventure starts at the coastal sand dunes, where golden desert meets the deep blue Arabian Sea. Walk across the soft dunes, feel the refreshing sea breeze, and capture stunning panoramic photos. Next, dive into history at the old Mirbat cemetery before continuing into the atmospheric old town via off-road tracks. Stroll through narrow alleys, pass crumbling stone houses, and learn about the town’s role as a powerful trading port on the Arabian coast. You’ll also stop by Mirbat Castle, where your guide will share fascinating stories from the past — from ancient trade routes to famous local legends. Continue with a light hike through a peaceful wadi landscape to visit the largest baobab tree in the Mirbat region. Standing alone in the valley, this ancient giant is one of the most unusual natural sights in Dhofar. Your guide will share fascinating facts about baobab trees — often called “the upside-down tree”. From here, the landscape changes dramatically as you begin your ascent to Jebel Samhan, one of Oman’s most impressive and rugged mountain ranges. Reaching elevations of up to 2,000 meters above sea level, the temperature drops, the air becomes clearer, and sweeping views open across vast canyons and untouched highland plateaus. The drive itself is an experience — winding mountain roads, dramatic cliffs, and panoramic stops perfect for photography. Along the way, stop at the enormous sinkhole of Taiq Cave (Tawi Atair) — a natural wonder hidden deep in the mountains. As the afternoon turns golden, begin your descent toward the coast for the grand finale: sunset at the cliffs of Taqah. On the way, enjoy a short stop for a warm cup of karak tea, a local favorite rich with spices and sweetness — the perfect boost before the evening views. Finally, watch the sun sink into the Arabian Sea from the edge of the mountains. The dramatic cliffs, gentle ocean breeze, and glowing colors of the sky create a peaceful, unforgettable moment to relax, reflect, and capture stunning photographs.Includes
