Join us on a journey of discovery as we delve into the wonders of the Rose Season and explore the picturesque region of Jabal Al Akhdar, which comes alive during this enchanting season. On the way to the mountains visit the charming village of Birkat Al Mouz, nestled at the foothills of Jebel Akhdar, with its typical mud-brick houses. Have a walk under the palm trees of the village and discover the ancient falaj irrigation system, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. After reaching by car the top of Jebel Akhdar, a short tour of the mountain plateau will conduct you through the old villages, where lot of spots to take memorable pictures will wait you. Later immerse yourself in the age-old tradition of rose harvesting and distillation, a craft deeply rooted in the local culture. You’ll witness the meticulous process of extracting rose water, which is not only used in local delicacies but also finds its way into perfumes, cosmetics, and traditional Omani sweets and beverages.
