This tour is ideal for travelers who prefer to start their journey after lunch and enjoy the most beautiful desert light: the golden sunset over the dunes. Your journey begins with a pickup from Muscat / Nizwa / Sur in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle. After leaving the city behind, we drive through ever-changing desert landscapes before reaching the magnificent Wahiba Sands. Experience the thrill of dune bashing with our expert driver and feel the excitement as your vehicle climbs and glides across the golden sands. Visit a traditional Bedouin house, enjoy Arabic coffee and dates, and learn about the ancient nomadic way of life that still thrives in Oman’s deserts. As the sun begins to set, climb one of the high dunes to watch a spectacular desert sunset — a photographer’s dream and one of Oman’s most iconic moments. For those who wish, you can add an optional camel ride or a traditional dinner in the desert, served in a Bedouin-style camp under a blanket of stars (additional cost). After this magical experience, relax as we drive you back to your accommodation in Muscat, Nizwa, or Sur. • This tour involves walking over rough and inclined ground with many steps. Desert safari is not recommended for the pregnant women and those with back pain and heart related issues. Bring sunglasses and scarf to cover the head and ear in case of wind in the desert. Temperature may vary according to the seasonal weather!
