Explore the Empty Quarter Desert on a 2-day tour from Salalah. Experience the traditional Bedouin desert lifestyle with an overnight stay in a Bedouin camp. Venture from the coastal city of Salalah to the towering desert dunes and enjoy several activities including dune bashing, and sand-boarding. Day 1: Depart from Salalah and drive through the Qara Mountain range with its spectacular view of the city. Pass by the Lost City of Ubar, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Entry to the archeological site is optional with entrance ticket. After walking around the site, proceed to the Empty Quarter, also known as Rab al Khali, to experience the biggest sand desert in the world by driving and rambling on fascinating sand dunes. View the sunset at the amazing sand desert and stay overnight. See the stars at the sky and explore and admire the universe. Day 2: Wake up in the desert, after an overnight sleep in the Bedouin camp, on the largest sand desert in the world and have breakfast. Leave the desert with memories and proceed to Wadi Dawkah, a natural park of famous Frankincense trees, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
