We reached at 9pm after driving up hill for 3 hours, we were very hungry and tired the least we would expect is good food hot and guess what it was all dried white rice, especially no vegetarian options, they didn't offer to make fresh for us, didn't expect this food quality in a 5star stay cation. Coming to Italian restaurant it was good. When you say half board dinner should be covered wherever we eat right, how's it only in a restaurant where food is not great. We ended up going to hotel Indigo for our second night, had our food done celebrating birthday party and returned. It is what it is. Paid so much for half board, nothing is complimentary. Spa is good not great Rooms are great. But no power due to rains. No one knows what danger happens when power is off. I suggest think twice before booking here.
Our stay at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar was truly exceptional. From the outstanding quality and beautiful surroundings to the warm hospitality and impeccable service, everything was perfect. The entire team was professional, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. A very special thank you to Chef Mohammed Al Balushi for making our experience even more memorable. It was such a pleasure to taste his food and experience the incredible talent of a local Omani chef. His cooking was absolutely delicious, and his passion and dedication truly came through in every dish. Thank you to the entire Anantara team for such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be coming back! ❤️
This hotel is an absolute must-try! The rooms are incredibly spacious, super clean, and offer the most breathtaking views of the mountains. I also visited the spa, and it is simply gorgeous. The only small area for improvement would be the breakfast buffet menu. It wasn't the best I've had, and the salad bar specifically could use a bit more work and variety. Also the coffee wasn’t too good. Aside from that, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend staying here!
A really beautiful spot in the mountains. The service was amazing - we were welcomed with a smile and attention to detail from the second we arrived to the moment we left! Bev works so hard by the pool making sure you have everything you need. She was such a joy to have conversation with. Anton at Bella Vista went out of his way to look after us, particularly during our dinner at ‘the royal edge’ which was STUNNING! Expensive but worth every penny. The team were flexible and let us completely change the menu, timings and set up to suit us. We even got serenaded by the wonderful singers twice. A truly special experience not to be missed! Chef Rajesh was also incredible - he poaches the perfect eggs and again cooked us many delicious meals during our stay. The only room for improvement would be the gym. A barbell / smith machine would be a welcomed extra! Its quite basic as is.
An amazing luxurious stay in the cool mountains - from the moment we stepped out of our vehicle, we were treated like honoured guests & all staff we encountered on this property were excellent. An obvious sense of pride working for this establishment permeated through & it showed in how staff interacted with guests & amongst themselves. We were upgraded to a fabulous pool villa & everything one could possibly ask for or want in a luxurious room was present. What was impressive was that any small or minor issues were immediately attended to & followed up on. This is the mark of a truly well oiled & run establishment. Wifi reception was excellent. The views were magnificent (sunset drinks at Diana’s Pt is truly a “wow” experience) & both our private pool & the main infinity pools were kept at the optimum temperature. Food at the Italian & International restaurant were top notch - authentic, fresh & delicious. Surprisingly they were at affordable price points & were served in generous portions. It sounds like I am gushing compliments but truly nothing negative to comment on. We managed to catch the tail end of the rose picking season & the resort is a short 10 to 15 min stroll away. I would definitely return & staying at Anantara was worth every cent!
