That was the grilled squid (3 OMR – a ridiculous bargain). Followed it with the grilled fish (6 OMR), a massive hamour that tasted like it swam that morning. Flaky, moist, seasoned with just salt, pepper, and a whisper of turmeric. No heavy sauces to hide behind – just honest seafood done right. The portions here are no joke. A single order of squid could feed two as a starter. The fish platter? Easily enough for a small family. Left half on the plate and still waddled out. What visitors need to know: · Open until 00:00 – a rare blessing for late‑night seafood cravings. · Price range OMR 2–10; grilled squid at 3 OMR is the best value on the menu. · Parking can be tricky after 8 PM – circle behind the building for spots. · Cash preferred; cards sometimes work for bills above 5 OMR. · The kitchen gets slow between 9:30 and 10:30 PM (shift change); order before 9. The vibe is no‑frills: plastic chairs, paper mats, the sound of sizzling from the open grill. But the staff actually smiles – rare in busy spots. A young waiter brought extra lemon without being asked, then pointed to the best fish on the counter. That kind of care sticks with you. Only real downsides: the fried options (calamari rings) were a little oily, and the restroom could use a deep clean. But when the grilled fish is this good, who’s looking around? Alhamour isn’t trying to be a white‑tablecloth affair. It’s a seafood restaurant that knows exactly what it does: fresh catch, big plates, honest prices. Sat there watching a father teach his daughter how to pick bones out of hamour, and felt like I’d found something real. Come for the squid. Stay for the fish. One of the best seafood restaurants I have ever tried. Pricing is incredibly cheap. Two notes thaugh, 1- the location doesn't show in google which made it hard to reach. 2- family side tables are not enough, and the rooms are very tight
Very tasty seafood, big portions, delicious rice with fish. Very nice shrimps with vegetables!
