Visited this restaurant for a nice seafood lunch by the port. The place is clean and well looked after. I loved the unique sea-themed design - everything looks so authentic and made with care. Sea bass was incredibly fresh and soft - almost melting in your hands. The grilled shrimps were also top. Lemon mint juice 10/10 and the Egyptian bread so soft and fresh. Had a nice chat with the owner from Alexandria and the waitress - very kind people. I think it’s a very good spot to experience something local and not gentrified in RAK.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As an American, I almost made the classic tourist mistake. I walked in, looked around, and thought, “Uh oh… where is everybody?” Turns out everybody was smarter than me. About 20 minutes later, the place started filling up, and I quickly realized this wasn’t an empty restaurant. It was a local restaurant. Big difference. The seafood was outstanding. Not “good for the price.” Not “surprisingly good.” Just flat-out delicious. The grilled fish arrived looking like it had been caught, seasoned, and introduced to fire by someone who genuinely cares about seafood. The prawns were swimming in a rich buttery sauce that should probably be classified as addictive. The calamari was crispy, light, and disappeared faster than my self-control. Even the rice was packed with flavor instead of being the usual afterthought. And then there was the bread, fresh pickles, lemon, and vegetables served alongside everything. Simple, authentic, and exactly what you want with fresh seafood. The best part? The prices were ridiculously reasonable. In many tourist areas, this same meal would cost two or three times as much and somehow taste worse. If you’re a tourist looking for Instagram food, keep walking. If you’re a tourist looking for real food that locals actually eat, stop what you’re doing and come here immediately. This was one of those rare meals where every dish looked beautiful, tasted even better, and left me wondering why the restaurant wasn’t packed from opening to closing. Then I learned it is packed at lunch. Now it all makes sense. Every freaking tourist in Dubai should eat here at least once before spending three times as much somewhere else pretending they’re having a better meal. Absolutely delicious. I’ll be back. 🍤🐟🔥🇦🇪
What an amazing restaurant! I searched google for the best seafood restaurant in RAK. The lemon mint was perfect - very little sugar as I like. The fish and lemon potatoes - I will dream of this dish, it was made with love! I asked for no onion on my mixed salad and there were no onions - sooooo delicious. Simple squeezed lemon on fresh veggies ❤️ The baba ganoche (?) was amazing on the fish - mixed with the toasted potato and the fresh salad - OMG delicious. A solo diner I was made to feel at home ❤️ Very highly recommend. Leave the resort - make the drive and enjoy the hospitality of Shaimaa (not too far, it’s near the fish market). You will not be disappointed!!!

The food was absolutely delicious and fresh — especially the prawns with creamy sauce and the perfectly grilled fish. Everything was well-seasoned and served beautifully. What really made our visit special was the excellent service. A big thanks to the chef for preparing such flavorful dishes, and special appreciation to Semieh, who assisted us throughout. She was very friendly, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable and satisfied. Overall, great food, great atmosphere, and outstanding service. Highly recommended for seafood lovers!
We went to this restaurant because it has a 4.8 rating on Google, so we expected it to be good. The restaurant is located close to the fish market, so we also expected the seafood to be fresh. However, we waited more than 40 minutes for our food. We ordered a mixed seafood plate with rice. One piece of fish was fresh, grilled, and tasty, but the other three pieces of fish were not fresh and were fried. There were three grilled shrimp and five small fried ones. The fried calamari was not tasty. The dish cost 150. We also didn’t like the sauce, and there was far too much rice under the seafood—more than 1 kg, in my opinion. We would have preferred more seafood instead of so much rice. We also ordered two seafood soups, but they were very spicy and too hot, and the seafood inside was strangely hard to chew. Overall, I was disappointed with the quality of the food. However, the environment inside the restaurant was clean and pleasant.
