Had dinner at Silk Route Restaurant in Rotana Salalah. We requested pure vegetarian food without onion and garlic, and Chef Ram was kind enough to accommodate our dietary restrictions. While the food was good overall, we really appreciate Chef Ram taking care of our specific meal requirements!
Thank you Ali (restaurant manager) and his team for a lovely meal. They ensured everything I had was gluten free as I have an allergy. Very attentive and excellent service throughout our stay at Rotana. Thank you :-)
The staff was very friendly. The service felt attentive and pleasant. We had sushi. It was okay, but not special. The view over the resort is beautiful and a clear highlight. You should look closely at the prices. An extra 22 percent is added to the menu prices. This includes 8 percent service charge, 5 percent municipality fee, 4 percent tourism tax, and 5 percent VAT. For two people, sushi with appetizers costs around 40 OMR. The sushi platter costs 29 OMR. In the nearby village of Taqa, you eat for about 8 OMR. Compared to that, the food here felt expensive.

I visited the buffet today with my friends, and we had a wonderful experience. I would especially like to highlight the excellent service provided by Philip from the Philippines. He was incredibly helpful, attentive, and genuinely kind throughout our meal. Philip made sure we were comfortable, checked on us regularly, and was always ready with a smile. His professionalism and friendly attitude truly enhanced our dining experience. Thank you, Philip, for your outstanding service. You definitely deserve recognition for your hard work!
