Friendly staff and quick service. The salad was nice and the meat was well seasoned with a tangy flavor which was new to me and really liked it. They have free parking right across the main entrance.
Phenomenal dining experience here, I am absolutely coming back! The food was delicious and the waiter was kind enough to reccomend the correct sides to compliment the more traditional dishes we had. The kebabs for other people's tables came out with the most incredible smoke aromas, I was very jealous. The dining area had no windows but it did not feel stuffy, the ambience was excellent none the less. We had a fantastic time.
Al Aqur Traditional Restaurant is a classic Omani spot with a nice, tasteful interior and a calm, traditional atmosphere. The setting definitely raises expectations. Food quality is decent but not outstanding, and I can confirm what others have mentioned: dishes don’t always arrive piping hot. It’s noticeable, though not a deal-breaker. What I really don’t get is why drinks are served in plastic cups instead of proper glassware — it feels out of place given the otherwise nice presentation. Worth a visit if you want a traditional setting, but don’t come expecting top-tier food. Good for first-timers who want a relaxed introduction to Omani cuisine.
Food was delicious, some of the grill was a bit burnt and soup could have been hotter. I liked it in general, you can try it for a good middle eastern cuisine. The architecture is nice, atmosphere is beautiful with the balcony. Sound might be a bit loud because of echoing.
