We were the only guests during our stay, so the property was quiet and they kindly upgraded us to the room with a balcony which was spacious and comfortable. The hospitality of the owner, Mr Hamed, and his 90 min tour for guests is what made the stay awesome, and the homemade maamoul date cookies were delicious. Note that you have to climb about 60-80 steep steps from your car to get to your room, and the same number to get from your room to the dinner/breakfast location. ——— My rating system: 5 = It was really awesome, and I keep thinking about it 4 = It was good, and I’m happy to come back 3 = It was unmemorable, but I could come here again 2 = I would probably discourage you from coming here 1 = I wouldn’t come back unless you paid me
Our stay was absolutely perfect. This is not just some ordinary hotel – it’s an authentic Omani accommodation full of character and charm. You can truly feel the local atmosphere and culture in every detail. The room was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. We especially appreciated that we could park directly in front of the accommodation, which made everything very convenient. There are quite a few stairs, but the staff kindly helped us carry our luggage, which we really appreciated. A special highlight was the tour with Hamed – it was a wonderful experience and made our stay even more memorable. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for something authentic and special in Oman.
An amazing experience! We have stayed for one night only, but Hamed and the team made it unforgettable. The views are breathtaking, the nature, shade and all around vibe is something that will stay with us for a long time. One note only, the reception is somehow close to the village entrance, so make sure you Ask them about the location so you won't get lost. Overall, one of the best nights in Oman ever, can't wait to come back again soon.
Fantastic place to stay. The location is great and the staff are amazing. Make sure you join the free village tour by owner Hamed so you fully understand where you are staying and what life used to be like in this village.
This as an excellent place to stay for two nights whilst visiting Misfãh and Jebel Shams. We managed to park right outside the accomodation, however it is tricky.... most people park outside the village. The hospitality throughout our stay was amazing, first class. Our room, number seven, had a very large window, good size and very comfortable. The owner, Hassan took us on a 90 minute free tour of the village, (starts at 4:30pm), which was wonderful and not to be missed. Dinner and breakfast are buffet style, Omani, home cooked food. There is complimentary tea, coffee and dates available throughout your stay and plenty of bottled water. Is summary, the hospitality from Hassan and his brother was exceptional and made our stay memorable.
