We really enjoyed the place Very clean and perfect weather even when it’s scorching heat in dubai. Everybody had good outdoor time. Very hospitable le too. We would definitely go back.
There are multiple positive points about this property: 1. The owner's approach is very well and he shows us a great respect for. 2. The property is very clean and greatly equipped. 3. The access to the other sights is really nice. 4. The yard of the property is very cozy and lovely during the night. There are many other positives points as well. The only negative point is about mattresses and pillows, they are literally hard and unfortunately can be said that pillows were similar to rocks just cover by pillow sheets. The 4 of us didn't find them comfortable and unfortunately we couldn't sleep even for 30 minutes. So all the night we remained awake!
Fantastic hospitality, comfortable house with well equipped kitchen, good WiFi, big outdoor space. Very nice welcome by the owner with Omani coffee and dates. My 3-year old loved the outdoor space. Doable in 2WD.
We had such a nice stay there in September 2025 that I sometimes think back about it and feel sad it was so short. Oman is definitely an incredible country, with beautiful landscape (and Jebel Shams is one of the best places) and very nice people. It was really great to be able to talk with the owner, to exchange cultural views on life with an open-minded and exchange-driven person. Oman really was the best country I visited in my life, and the canyon rest house was a real incredible addition to it. The rooms are just Woh! Traditional construction and interior, but with modern comfort ! The fire litted outside, the stars in the sky, the mountains, everything was very dreamy and perfect. Visiting this place definitely changed my life in an hidden and beautiful way. I wish all the best to the hard-working owner and this beautiful country of Oman.
We truly enjoyed our stay yesterday at Canyons Rest House, Jebel Shams. The property has a very authentic ambience and is well maintained. The bedroom was neat and clean, with an attached bathroom that was also in excellent condition. The kitchen was especially impressive—well equipped with almost everything needed to prepare meals. The barbecue area was a great addition, and inside parking was also available, which was very convenient. The service was outstanding. The gentleman on site was extremely helpful and always ready to assist us with whatever we needed. His hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you for the amazing service. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this place.
