Your adventure begins from Muscat, driving toward the interior where ancient traditions and dramatic mountains await. Day 1 – Castles, Clay & Culture (Muscat → Bahla → Al Hamra → Nizwa) Your adventure begins with a drive through Oman’s interior toward Jabreen Castle, known for its intricate ceilings and hidden rooms. Continue to Bahla Fort, a UNESCO site surrounded by legends, and explore the Bahla Pottery Workshop, where you’ll try your hand at creating traditional Omani clay pieces. After lunch, visit Al Hamra Old Village and wander through Misfat Al Abriyeen, a magical mountain village of stone houses and falaj gardens. As the day slows, you’ll settle in for an overnight stay in cozy heritage guesthouse in Nizwa, the cultural capital of Oman. Day 2 – Nizwa Morning, Barkat Al Mouz & Jebel Akhdar, Return to Muscat After breakfast, Begin your day exploring the historic Nizwa Fort, climbing its tower for sweeping views and diving into centuries of Omani heritage before the crowds arrive. Wander through the lively Nizwa Souq, famous for its traditional silver jewelry, khanjars, dates, and vibrant local market life. Continue to Barkat Al Mouz, where you’ll visit the UNESCO-listed Falaj Al Khatmeen and stroll through the nearby ghost village—an evocative glimpse into Oman’s past. Then journey up to Jebel Akhdar (The Green Mountain), known for its cool air and dramatic terraced landscapes. Visit Rummana, with its seasonal fruit picking, workshops, and open-air performances. Explore Al Aqar Village and Al Ain Steps, where ancient falaj channels and stone houses tell stories of mountain life. Stop at the iconic Diana’s Point for breathtaking panoramas before returning to Muscat in the evening. This 2-day experience beautifully blends history, culture, and nature — offering you an authentic taste of Oman’s heart.
