Explore its massive circular tower, traditional defensive features, historic rooms, and passages while learning about Nizwa’s important role as a centre of trade, learning, religion, and politics. From the top, enjoy beautiful views over the old town, surrounding mountains, date palms, and traditional neighbourhoods. After visiting the fort, we continue with a relaxed walk through **Nizwa Old Town**. Wander through narrow lanes and discover traditional mud-brick houses, historic alleyways, and architectural details that tell the story of how people lived in Oman for generations.
