Unleash your creativity and connect with Omani heritage in a hands-on pottery class, led by skilled local artisans. This unique experience offers you the chance to shape, mold, and paint your own pottery pieces using traditional methods passed down through generations.
Begin by parking your car in the free parking outside, then join a welcome tour about the history of the workshop. Observe the whole process of making clay from start to finish, and watch the difference between the old methods and new machines used today. Take your time to see the old photos and handcrafts which speak to the history of the 400-year-old workshop.
Next, join a live workshop where you can see how to make pottery from clay. Take photos and ask to repeat any steps. Then, start doing your first pottery. Throw the mobile phone and pick up the dirt. All necessary equipment and expert guidance will be provided to help you create your own unique shape.
After you finish the course, you are welcome to buy any pottery from the store.
