Description
The tour begins with a morning departure from Muscat towards Wadi Bani Awf. The route passes impressive canyons, including Snake Canyon, and various mountain villages. Balad Sayt is a standout, located in the eastern Al Hajar Mountains and surrounded by rugged peaks.
Next, the excursion continues to Nakhal. Here, you visit Nakhal Fortress, a 1500-year-old stronghold built into the mountain at the edge of a town famous for large date palm plantations. The fortress features hidden escape routes and secret passages within its restored rooms decorated in traditional styles. From the top, views extend over the mountains and lush plantations.
