Embark on a sunset desert safari through the Empty Quarter, one of the largest sand deserts in the world. The trip features stops to walk on soft sands and photograph the sunset. You will visit the legendary Lost City of Ubar, also called the City of the Pillars, known for its role in ancient Arabian trade routes.
This journey also includes visits to historical sites where frankincense was once traded, adding a cultural dimension. The tour begins with a drive through the Qara Mountains, followed by a stop at Wadi Dawka, a protected area known for its frankincense trees. You will visit a camel farm to understand camels’ importance to Omani life and explore Thumrait town, once a key caravan stop. The adventure concludes with time in the Empty Quarter desert.
