- 4WD safari to Jebel Harim
- Views from 6,000 feet above sea level

Description
Jebel Harim, meaning 'the mountain of women,' is Musandam's highest peak. The summit houses a radar station monitoring shipping in the Straits of Hormuz and offers panoramic views of Khasab and towards Dibba. The mountain's rocks contain preserved fossils including mollusks, fish, clams, and trilobites, providing insights into ancient marine life.
The safari starts with a drive from Khasab into the mountains, including stops at scenic viewpoints. The village of Sayah, still inhabited by desert-dwelling Bedouins, is visited. Sayah is known for 3,000-year-old petrographs painted on rock faces.
Along the route, you will see a fossil wall formed from ancient seabed rock covered with fossilized impressions of crabs, starfish, and shells. The drive continues near Jebel Harim's summit, where photo opportunities abound. The Khawr Najid viewpoint offers expansive views over the Indian Ocean.
