Description

The tour begins at Nizwa Souq, where you will find vendors selling fresh produce, pottery, jewelry, handicrafts, Omani halwa, dates, spices, and souvenirs. On Fridays, the souq hosts a cattle market where locals sell goats, cattle, sheep, and chickens in an open marketplace setting.

Next, visit the nearby Nizwa Fortress. This 17th-century fort, now a museum, offers panoramic views of the town and surrounding mountains. Walking through the fortress, you will see rooms, passages, defensive towers, and ingenious traps designed to protect against attackers during the Yaruba dynasty.

From Nizwa, the tour continues to Misfah Al Abreyeen, a village on a steep slope at Jebel Shams' base.
