Description
You depart Muscat in the morning and travel to Nizwa, the ancient capital of Oman. At Nizwa, you will visit Nizwa Fort and explore the traditional souk.
Next, continue to Al Hamra, one of the oldest villages in Oman located at the foot of the Hajar Mountains. Here, take a walk around the mud brick houses.
The tour then proceeds to Misfah al Abryeen, a pristine village at the base of Jebel Shams. You will see the large Falaj water system that irrigates local vegetation. The village features numerous marked footpaths, recommended for a leisurely exploration.
Before reaching Jebel Shams, stop to admire views of the Hajar Mountains and the country’s highest peak. Jebel Shams stands at 3,000 meters above sea level, offering cool temperatures even on hot days, alongside ancient rock carvings and remote villages.
