Description
The tour begins with pickup from your accommodation for convenience. The first visit is to the Grand Sultan Qaboos Mosque, Oman’s largest mosque, where you can admire its architecture and learn its history.
Next, you will head to Mutrah Souq, stopping en route at Shati Al-Qurm Beach to enjoy Omani bread and tea. Mutrah Souq, one of Oman’s oldest markets, offers a variety of traditional items including weapons, jewelry, clothing, spices, and antiques.
After exploring the market, the tour continues along the waterfront corniche to old Muscat, where you will see Al Alam Palace, walk through its palace yard, and learn about its background. You will also visit the nearby Portuguese-built forts of Jalali and Mirani, dating from the 16th century.
The final stop is outside the Royal Opera House in Shati Al-Qurm district, showcasing Muscat’s blend of heritage and modernity.
