Description
The tour begins with a visit to the Grand Mosque, one of the largest in Oman, featuring a single-piece handmade Iranian carpet and accommodating up to 20,000 worshippers. It is open from 8am to 11am, except on Fridays.
You will then drive past government ministries and the Royal Opera House, the leading arts and cultural institution in Oman, aimed at global cultural engagement. A photo stop at Qurum Beach follows, along with a tasting of traditional Omani bread with honey and karak tea.
Next is Muttrah Souq, one of Oman’s oldest marketplaces offering a variety of souvenirs. The tour continues to Al Alam Palace, the official residence of His Majesty.
Visit Bait Al Zubair Museum to explore Oman’s vibrant history, traditions, and artistic heritage.
The itinerary includes photo stops at the two Portuguese forts, Al Jalali and Al Mirani. Entry to Al Mirani Fort is available for $25 (optional).
The experience concludes with a lunch or dinner at a local restaurant, included in the tour price.
