Your day begins with a pick-up from your hotel, Muscat Airport, or Sultan Qaboos Port in Muttrah. The first stop is the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of Oman's largest mosques, accommodating over 20,000 worshipers. The mosque features one of the largest carpets and chandeliers worldwide. Note that the mosque is open for interior visits only in the morning.
Next, enjoy Omani bread with Karak tea at a local cafe. Then explore the Royal Opera House, among the largest opera houses in the Middle East, which includes a market, restaurants, and the opera building itself.
Visit Al-Qurm beach, where mountain rocks meet the sea alongside mangrove trees. Afterward, explore the fish and vegetable market in Muttrah city, known for a variety of fish including tuna and mullet.
The tour continues at the traditional Muttrah Souq, where you can shop for handicrafts, souvenirs, and taste Omani sweets such as halwaa. Then visit Al Alam Palace in Muscat's old city, followed by the Al Jalal and Al Mirani Forts, built by the Portuguese in the 16th and 17th centuries.
