Description
The day begins with an early hotel pick-up. You will travel to the road leading to the Jebel Shams viewpoint, located at 3009 meters, offering panoramic views of Oman’s Grand Canyon and the Al Hamra region. Along the way, spot Egyptian eagles soaring overhead.
After admiring the landscape from above, the group descends into the canyon to hike the moderate Balcony Walk. This trail passes abandoned villages and hidden waterfalls, with ample photo opportunities. The hike includes a rest at a secluded pool.
The return journey involves climbing the via ferrata route with a safety briefing and equipment check provided. The difficulty varies along the ascent, rewarded by exceptional canyon views. The final part involves a one-kilometer rock scramble back to the vehicles.
