Description
The Al Sharqiya Sands hot air balloon adventure is a 45-minute to 1-hour flight starting before sunrise. Guests meet between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM depending on the season, then travel to the launch site located between Arabian Oryx Camp and Desert Nights Camp. While the crew prepares the balloon, enjoy coffee and light snacks while watching the balloon’s inflation.
Once airborne, the balloon gently glides over golden dunes, rising to around 600 meters. The quiet desert and shifting sand hues provide a serene atmosphere. Each flight follows the wind direction, offering unique views and photo opportunities every time.
The experience ends with a small celebration featuring juice, snacks, and a commemorative medal. It is recommended to wear flat shoes and bring a hat, sunglasses, and a camera to enhance your experience.

- Pick-up and drop-off: Complimentary transfers available from many desert camps; provide camp name when booking. Private transfers from Muscat (about 2 hours) can be arranged for an additional fee.
