한국인들! 이거보시면 무조건 오세요🙏🏻 First of all, I would like to sincerely thank the owner’s daughter, Asmaa. From the very moment we checked in, she warmly welcomed me by holding both of my hands, making us feel truly at home. She shared the story of how the house where her family and grandfather once lived was transformed into the beautiful hotel it is today, and explained the historical belongings that once belonged to her grandfather. The structure and atmosphere of the hotel itself were incredibly fascinating, and through her stories, I could deeply feel how much she loves Oman, her home, and her family. She also taught us in great detail about Islam and the history of Oman, and we had a truly meaningful and unforgettable conversation together. Thank you for giving us memories that we will never forget.💖
Our best experience in all of Oman. The family who runs the guest house is truly wonderful — incredibly supportive, kind, and warm-hearted. The location is also excellent, perched on a hill overlooking the Old Town and the palm grove. We will definitely be back soon.
We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation and the people were absolutely lovely. We were warmly welcomed with Omani coffee and dates, and the hosts kindly helped us with an adapter and a Wi-Fi issue. The design of the place, especially the terraces, is superb, and the views are stunning. The room was simple but comfortable and had everything we needed. Location is great for exploring Jabal Shams, Nizwa or Misfat al abriyeen. One downside is that there are not many options for breakfast, but we’ve managed. Overall, it was a great stay.
This hotel is our favourite place on our whole Oman trip. It’s clean and modern, yet also has the homely feel which is accentuated by the owners being so friendly and warm. They gave us a tour and you can tell they are really passionate about their home and Oman. Our room was so spacious and we were really impressed with the bathroom. The attached cafe has the best coffee we had in Oman too and the girl working there was so friendly too
We booked our three-night stay at Al Hamra Mountain View Guesthouse based on the photos and the positive reviews on both Booking.com and Google Maps. The guesthouse is nicely located on a hill, offering a beautiful view over the valley. It provides the basic amenities needed for a stay, and the building follows traditional architecture, giving the complex a pleasant and authentic atmosphere. Many decorative details are well done. There are also several shared spaces and terraces where guests can relax. The bed in our room was comfortable, and the sheets were clean. Overall, however, we were somewhat disappointed. There were several small issues which, taken together, negatively affected our experience. First of all, the room was quite small for three people. The extra bed provided for our daughter (for which we paid an additional fee) was in fact a thin mattress placed directly on the floor. The room had only a small window facing an interior shared space, which meant there was no natural light. In the bathroom, the faucet was leaking, the toilet flush did not work properly, and the shower drain was clogged. Breakfast was basic but ok, however the quality of some items (toast bread, marmalade, and orange juice) was unfortunately poor. Finally, the pool turned out to be more like a large bathtub with cold water, making it unpleasant and impossible to use. Al Hamra is located about 50 minutes by car from Nizwa and 30 minutes from Bahla. For travelers planning to explore the region, we would recommend choosing accommodation in one of these locations to avoid daily commuting.
