We stayed at Bait Baityn for two nights and enjoyed it very much. It's the perfect place to stay at and relax in the beautiful village of Misfat Al Abriyeen. It's a traditional house with a really nice rooftop, where breakfast and dinner are served. Our room was comfortable and spacious. A big thanks to Ahmad and Ahmad, who both made our stay really special. To respect the locals, we suggest parking outside of the old village and taking a backpack with the overnight essentials - instead of driving right to the end of the road and clogging everything (as unfortunately many other tourists did).
Amazing service and hosts of this super friendly family run hotel. Right in the middle of the small cute city, with amazing views across the mountains and palm trees, giving a complete old city vibe. Moreover great breakfast and dinner buffet, taking extra care in catering to us and having lots of options. Moreover, they had a very interesting city tour included for free, where we could learn a lot about the cities history, how they used to handle the water distribution and more. The only small downside was the noise from talking in the main Street starting around 7am, however it was quiet post 7:40, so this may not always be the case. The shower was surprisingly hot for very long and an enjoyable bonus. They also arranged a taxi service for us too, picking us up, waiting for us to complete a hike and dropping us back after our stay for a very fair price. Overall, I can highly recommend this stay and wish the hosts and family all the successes for the future.
Excellent hotel , tasty breakfast , very friendly staff especially Ahmed, a cheerful knowledgeable local fellow who is proud of his village and happy to share many stories about the old houses . I strongly recommend the place
We enjoyed everything: the room, the location, the food, the staff. Special thanks to the owner, Ahmed, for the fantastic village tour and all the time he spent with us, and to the young person (sorry I don't know his name) that helped us with the luggage and everything. We look forward to coming back in the future!
We arrived at the location in the evening, tired and hungry. The hosts helped us with the luggage transport, served us with local Omani coffee and fresh dates. We found out that the building in which the hotel is located is several hundred years old, having been renovated, preserving the local specifics but also offering very good conditions. The room was spacious, very clean, with everything you need including hygiene supplies and towels. After a short shower, we went up to the terrace to have dinner prepared by the owner's family, the food being very good. The next day, we saw a gorgeous landscape from the terrace and the buildings with superb local specifics in the middle of the vegetation watered with water from the mountain. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I recommend it and I would gladly return anytime.
