remote location, tricky to drive the last uphill section (4x4 required), but what a unique place to stay! very friendly staff; food, tea and coffee is simple but delicious; room was large, clean and comfortable; perfect for nature lovers, hikers or rock climbers. perfect views from the large roof terrace, especially sunset and sunrise.
One of the best experience in Oman. Situated at secluded location with one of the best view around the region. You can do long and short hike around the accommodation as well as rock climbing but you need to bring your own equipments). The room rate include breakfast and dinner, very nice local food prepare by the hotel restaurant. Was there during winter, they do provide a heater in the room, hot shower is very good. Just lack of hair dryer and water cattle in the room. Need 4x4 to reach the accommodation, if you do not have, don't worry, the owner can arrange the return transfer with a fees from the local village, it's around 3-4km uphill on the dusty gravel road.
Great location indeed for people who enjoy nature, hiking, climbing and indeed great for a gateway. The hospitality in the guest house is unmatchable, the rooms are very clean. Services are always available, people are very friendly and helpful. Recommended fully !
Hotel in a very picturesque location: it's an ancient mountain village consisting of several houses with terraced vegetable gardens and pomegranate orchards in a gorge surrounded by massive rock walls. There are excellent opportunities for trekking and rock climbing right at the exit from the village, all within walking distance. The hotel is comfortable, clean, and beautifully furnished, with the building integrated into the village's architecture. The owner and staff are polite, knowledgeable and passionate about the surrounding area. The traditional cuisine is delicious. The last few kilometers of the dirt road have a steep incline, so it's recommended either to arrive in a four-wheel-drive vehicle or to call the owner to arrange a pickup at the end of the paved road.
