Reviews
Location: Good. The room was very basic and quite small, and the bathroom was also basic. The resort outdoor area appear to need renovation. The children’s play area is very old and does not seem safe for children. In my opinion, the price of the stay was not fair compared with other resorts available in the same area, which offer better facilities and overall value.
Beautiful property, disappointing service The ambience, architecture, location and overall design of Sama are truly beautiful, and the property has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the service was extremely poor and unprofessional. We have paid for a full-board stay, but the food and dining experience were far below expectations. The staff lacked attentiveness and professionalism. It's disappointing because such a beautiful property deserves much better hospitality. With improved service, staff training and food quality, this place could be excellent.
Fantastic stay. Clean spacious rooms. Great service from the team. Nice camel mishkak during dinner. The beef kheema could be more authentic was nearly like a bolognese. The breakfast was decent enough spread. Would definitely return Would be nice if there was WiFi in the rooms.
We booked 5 rooms for 10 adults and 2 children. The rooms were good, the resort itself was beautiful, and the location was nice. Some aspects of the stay were enjoyable, but unfortunately the service was disappointing. The resort is around 14 km from the destination, and our car got stuck on the way. The resort arranged another car for us and charged 10 riyals for it, which was reasonable. However, despite informing them during booking that we needed an extra bed for one child, they later refused and asked for an additional 20 riyals, which was disappointing. The food quality was below expectations. The dinner buffet had very limited options, and breakfast was also quite limited. Even the water bottles provided were warm. When I requested cold water, one staff member responded rudely, saying he “didn’t boil the water.” Overall, the experience was average. The property has good potential because the rooms and surroundings are nice, but the service and food quality need significant improvement.
The resort itself is good, albeit the food could be better. However the location is not very inspiring and generally if you are not planning to hike or rock climb all the time there isn’t much to do. Accessibility with FWD vehicle is good if you have your wits about you
