The rooms are quite spacious and they also have dining which serves Asian food. Staff is good and helpful. They will guide you if you want to go to tourists spots. Zaki Hotel is a very convenient place to stay in Sur, not only do you have enough parking space for your car, but the location is very easy to move around the city itself, whether walking distance or with car. The rooms are very nice, big and comfortable and everything looked clean and was very well maintained. The hotel has a downstairs restaurant for breakfast and dinner and also a separate place for coffee/cakes where you can also sit and relax to do some work or hang out. Although dinner served at the restaurant is ok with many choices, the time it takes to get the food takes a while and honestly the breakfast is not really worth it, the choice is very limited. The coffee place (maybe it was a fluke) didn't really serve good coffee, I had 1 cup of coffee (Spanish latte) and this was disappointing
Rooms were spacious, okay clean, beds were comfy and bathrooms also okay. Everything a bit worn out. Lobby is opulent and staff was really nice. Breakfast was not huge in selection but everything was really tasty. Non-sweeted yoghurt is a plus! Some important things are weirdly overlooked. Common areas other then lobby (halls mostly) were dirty. Carpet in first floor hallway was really gross. The second horrible thing is the internet. Wi-fi works, but so selectively (with 4 devices, we were not able to make all pages we want to load and it was super slow for every one). You are better off with your mobile data. The key to our apartment worked sometimes and sometimes did not. The locks itself looked like they were downgraded from a key card system and portions were covered with black tape. There’s a full kitchen, but literally nothing to cook with. Why is the kitchen even there, then? 7/10 is the right spot now - the basics work, you’ll have okay stay for your money and nothing’s going to bite you in the butt, but there is definitely a huge room for improvement.
While the lobby is modern and the rooms are more dated in style, the property more than delivers where it counts: excellent cleanliness, good functionality, and genuinely warm, helpful staff. We also ate at both the restaurant and café attached to the hotel, which were packed with locals — always a strong endorsement. The food was delicious, generously portioned, and very reasonably priced. The location is convenient, close to the Corniche and Harbour, and overall the hotel represents very good value for money. A solid, comfortable base in Sur and one we’d happily stay at again.
