Enjoy time for photos and learn how this geological formation became one of the most iconic attractions in Oman. Continue to Wadi Shab, where a gentle hike takes you between towering cliffs, date palms, and crystal-clear pools. At the end of the trail, cool off with a refreshing swim in the emerald waters, surrounded by stunning canyon walls. After your wadi adventure, travel to the coastal town of Sur, known for its dhow-building heritage, and stay overnight in Ras Al Hadd, either in a guest house or resort depending on availability. On the second day, begin with a visit to Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most beautiful and accessible oases. Spend time swimming in clear freshwater pools as you take in the dramatic mountains and lush date plantations around you. In the afternoon, journey into the heart of Wahiba Sands, where endless golden dunes stretch as far as the eye can see. Visit the lively Nizwa Souq, where you can browse stalls filled with pottery, silver jewelry, dates, spices, and handicrafts. Then head to the impressive Nizwa Fort, known for its massive round tower and views over the traditional city. Continue your journey to the foothills of the mountains to explore Birkat Al Mouz, a picturesque village surrounded by plantations and traditional falaj irrigation channels. Walk through the ancient ruins and enjoy the peaceful oasis atmosphere. Finally, ascend into the cool heights of Jebel Akhdar, part of the majestic Al Hajar Mountains.
