Dhofar is located in Salalah, the main city of the governorate. DU started its academic journey in the year 2004. It is the first private university in the country. It offers two years Diploma and four years Bachelor's degree. The mode of instruction is English. At present there are three colleges under DU. The college of Arts, the college of Commerce and Business Administration and the collge of Engineering.
