Description
Day(1) *Muscat city tour* You will begin your day of exploration of Muscat, the modern capital city filled with traditional Omani heritage. You will experience the beauty of the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque (the biggest and most stunning mosque in Oman), Next stop will be the Royal Oman 0pera House which has one of the most beautiful auditorium around the world, After that, will take you along the breathtaking waterfront Corniche of the Mutrah area, with visits to the fresh fish market and historic Mutrah Souq where you can browse and buy souvenirs. Peek into the history of Oman at 0ld Muscat area where you will view the Portuguese forts of Aljalali and Almirani. You may also visit the National Museum or Alzubair museum to learn more about the history, culture and traditions of Oman. During this time, you will also pause at the Al Alam Palace, the official palace of His Majesty Sultan of Oman, Now it is time for lunch and taste the 0man traditional food. At the end, you will go back to the hotel. Day(2) Begin your day after the breakfast heading southeast of Muscat, first stop will be the sinkhole (a big hole made by a meteor fell and hit the ground), then drive along the coastline and white sand beach until we get to wadi shab. Approximately 45 minutes of hiking and we reach the swimming pools where you can swim in the blue, clear and freshwater. After the swim, you can have lunch at a local restaurant. From there we drive to Ras al hadd or Ras al jinz. (depending on the hotel you book) Check in and spend the afternoon on the beach. At night after dinner you will go to see the turtles. *multiple choices of hotels in Ras alhadd or Ras aljizz. Day(3) We leave Ras al-hadd towards Sur city, explore the city and visit the dhow factory (wooden ship). Then we head to wadi bani Khalid, another beautiful swimming pools to relax and enjoy swimming. After resting at the wadi we continue to the desert (wahiba sand). You may enjoy the camel ride, dune bashing and watch the sunset, Spend the night at one of the desertcamps. Day(4) After breakfast we drive towards Ibra town, and visit Ibra old town. From there we go to see the beehive tombs at zukait village. Then we drive to the oasis of Birkat Al mouz, a unique village nestled into a mountain face, Learn about Falaj al khatmin (UNESCO site) an old irrigation system. After a quick lunch in the village we move up to the jabal al akhdar the green mountain). Explore the area around Jabal Akhtar especially the old villages and farms. Do short hike between the old ruins. Spend the night at one of the hotels in Jabal Akhtar or drive down to Niswa. Day(5) Grab an early breakfast and head to the center of Nizwa (a former capital of 0man), visit the nearby souk and take a break to browse and purchase some Omani silver crafts and other beautiful handmade items. See the different varieties of dates and taste 0mani halwa (Omani sweet). Next, stroll over to the Nizwa Fort and castle. Sometimes you can catch several live cultural displays of cooking, music, dance, & husbandry. From Nizwa, we drive to Al hamra town and Misfat Al abryeen, Here some of the oldest preserved houses in 0man can be found. Wander the alleyways, walk along the gardens, and make sure to stop at an old house converted into the famous living 0mani museum: Bait Al Safah. Here you have the chance to take in and learn about heritage of how things are done in the mountains away from the capital. After that we drive back to Muscat.Includes
